How do we get started?
Step 1. Our Initial Meeting In Our Showroom:
In our showroom we will explain the overall process and our services. We will review with you what your goals are for your remodeling project. We will conduct a remodeling interview with you in which we will discuss what your needs are? How you use you kitchen? What your decorating tastes are? What is the budget that you have set for the project? We will discuss what your physical needs are while working in your kitchen, etc. At this time you would make some general choices, like selecting the cabinets, door style, wood species and features that you would like. Many of our clients are surprised that we gather so much information in our initial meeting but our twenty eight years of kitchen and bath remodeling experience has been that successful projects start with attention to detail from our initial meeting to the last piece of trim being installed. At this time you can also schedule an appointment for a consultation and measurement at your home.
We suggest creating an "Ideas Book" of what you like. Get a three-ring binder, set up some tabs for categories (design ideas, features, cabinetry, appliances, counters, and miscellaneous). When you're flipping through a magazine, and see a design that catches your eye, cut it out and put it into your binder. Features and ideas that intrigue you? Spice storage ideas, maybe a new way to store dishes, clip it and include it in your binder. It is very simple, yet provides a wealth of information for our designer, which will ultimately help design the kitchen or bathroom of your dreams.
Step 2. Design Presentation:
After your consult and measure our professional designer will set up an appointment for you to come in to our showroom and review a design and concepts for your project. We will discuss cabinetry, counters, appliances, flooring, electric, plumbing, and almost everything associated with your kitchen project. During this meeting we'll also review a General Estimate and a Budget Analysis for this particular design and project.
Hopefully we have earned your confidence and you are excited about our vision for your dream kitchen or bath and you're ready to move forward. Moving forward means making a commitment in one of two ways. Either going to Step 3 (Final Choices and Work Order Contract) or Step 4(Additional Designing/Design Retainer)
Step 3. Additional Designs and Design Retainer:
Final choices of your cabinetry, countertops, sink, faucet, wallsplash, appliances, floor coverings, hardware are made. Based on these final decisions a final price is determined for your approval. Once you approve the final pricing a detailed contract is prepared and executed. Your material order is placed and installation is scheduled. Our contract and payment policy is dictated by the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act and industry standards.
Step 4. Final Choices and Contract:
Should you request further computerized cad designs and estimates a design retainer will be required. The design retainer is simply an agreement and fee that we'll complete an additional computerized cad design and estimate for your kitchen or bathroom. This design retainer is in exchange for our continued investment of time and resources, from which you will compensate us for a specified design retainer. When you commit to the actual project, we will credit your full design investment to the deposit of your new kitchen or bath with McLusky Showcase Kitchens & Baths. Should you decide not to proceed with the project with McLusky Showcase Kitchens & Baths the design retainer is non-refundable.
Step 5. Installation:
Approximately a week before your scheduled installation you will be contacted to confirm your start date. You will be asked to prepare the kitchen or bathroom by removing the majority of the contents, our scheduler will explain what items need to be removed. The big day arrives! Our installation crew will arrive and review the contract, drawings and plans with you and get the installation started. Our designers and management have daily meetings with our installation crews and we oversee the entire kitchen or bath installation from cabinets to flooring to make sure that every aspect of the kitchen or bathroom is completed as contracted and meets your expectations.
